We have PUPPIES AVAILABLE!!!!

We want to start out by thanking you for visiting our website, and hope it answers all your questions you may have about us. We are a small hobby farm that breeds Golden Retrievers and we have one Great Dane. All of our dogs are part of our family and daily activities. We currently show our dogs in UKC/AKC and will be starting out in IABCA in 2008. We have spent alot of time to pick out only the best dogs for our breeding lines and also for showing. Currently we have 2 kids (all teenagers) one grandson and a stray kid (one of my kids dragged home one day) living at home, that help out with the dogs, except the grandchild his job is just love on them.  

My name is Dawn and I am the one who runs our farm, or family which ever you would call it. My husband Daniel is very supportive of our ventures even if it means a 4 hour road trip with 2 kids and a few dogs . He has always been there to help us out. Both of my younger daughters Krysta (14) and Alexis (13) train and handle our dogs. You will see them in alot of pictures. They both are wonderful kids. This is Alexis:

 I worked as a Vet. Tech for 18 years and recently decided it was not for me any longer not to mention I was burnt out, I still help out a couple of Rescues with spay/neuter clinics and vaccine fairs, I bring that knowledge with me to our hobby farm, I currently own a dog grooming shop in Oxford, Michigan called Tender Touch Pet Spa. 

Millstones Golden will be moving in hopefully early 2009 where we are going is yet to be decided. We are currently looking for a community that will embrace our dogs and our family, one that loves dogs and what they can bring. If you would like to come meet our dogs and just want to take a drive in the country please let us know, we would be more then happy to have you.

What We Do

We try to show our dogs at least once per month, please watch this website for updates and where we will be for our next show. We also spend alot of time training our dogs. We currently only show Conformation and have been training with Hadley Acres in Agility, we are in hopes of competing in our first competition in 6/08. We are also working with the dogs to build up there stamina so they may compete in weight pull starting in fall of 08'. This summer will will work with the dogs more aggressively to get them ready for competition in Dock jumping. We believe dogs need to have a job in life and as long as you keep them active they will not become over weight or lazy, they like to feel like they belong in your family.
