If you are planning on attending any of the listed shows please let us know, so you can stop by and say hi, or so we can arrange time to sit and chat with you.
If you are interested in Showing your dog we would be more then happy to help you get started, it is such a great time, and you meet so many new friends, and learn so many neat tricks for grooming or training and we have just a blast at the shows them self.
However you have to remember with any type of sport you win some and you loose some and the last thing you want to be is a poor loser.
Showing dogs is not a cheap sport, so you need to be prepared to spend money and most of our dogs to Champion them we have shown them to at least 12-18 judges to get the wins need to Champion, so you figure at 18.00 a show x 18 it is not cheap, we look at it as a commitment to our dogs and we never give up, just because we did not win.
Con't:
Not to mention the training and grooming needed to show, it takes me on average 3 hours to groom a dog for show. We start training our dogs what is needed to be in the ring at the young age of 4 months, some dogs love to please but are just not meant to be show dogs.
We also enjoy training in the fall and early spring with our dogs in Agility, it gives them something to look forward to and gives us just something else to bond with our dogs over.
We keep our dogs very physically fit, through proper exercise and controlled feeding, we swim our dogs at least twice a week weather permitting.
If you have any questions or would like more information about our dogs please let me know.
